It's been 10 years since Roland Mouret debuted his signature iconic Galaxy dress. Mouret stated that nothing fits like the Galaxy...."Worn and adored by so many, it still remains the dress of choice for countless celebrities and dignitaries across the world." Roland Mouret was born in Lourdes, France on August 27, 1961. The London based designer studied at a Parisian Fashion college for a short three months. For over a decade, the French designer has created some of the most coveted collections in women's fashion. In 2005, Mouret launched the now famous Galaxy dress in his Spring 2006 Collection. The body-sculpting Galaxy dress became one of the most coveted looks on the red carpet with some of Hollywoods leading ladies, such as Halle Berry above at the Variety Annual Power of Women Event in 2012. The dress, lined with Powerflex stretch fabric, was used to create a figure hugging hour glass silhouette. Over the last decade, the dress was rocked by many celebs, including Victoria Beckham, Cameron Diaz, Scarlett Johannson, and Miranda Kerr. In celebration of the signature bodycon Galaxy dress, Roland Mouret included the dress in his Spring 2016 RTW collection in Paris. The finale included the models wearing the Galaxy in nine different colors, including mint green, navy, coral pink, and mustard. Mouret created an exclusive limited-edition capsule collection called Galaxy Ten, with seven pieces that were inspired by the body-sculpting dress and angular neckline. Check out who rocked the Galaxy over the past decade, and also highlights from the Roland Mouret Spring 2016 RTW Collection during Paris Fashion Week!
