Finally the highly anticipated new M·A·C X AALIYAH LIMITED EDITION COLLECTION has arrived! This dazzling limited edition collaboration with M·A·C and Aaliyah was released online June 20. The collection was created in honor of former hip hop innovator and beauty icon Aaliyah. Aaliyah(Aaliyah Dana Haughton), was an actress, singer, hip hop artist, who was born in Brooklyn and raised in Detroit. Aaliyah had a very successful career, selling millions and millions of records. Her life tragically came to an end at 22 years old in 2001, when she and eight others died in a plane crash in the Bahamas, after filming a music video. I was a huge fan of Aaliyah and had several of her albums. Her legacy inspired a fan driven petition to make a beauty line in honor of the star. It was approved my Aaliyah's brother Rashad Haughton.
