GLAMOUR AT THE 2016 CFDA AWARDS

American fashion's biggest night of the year took place last night at the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City. The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Fashion Awards recognize extraordinary design excellence in: womenswear, menswear, accessories, as well as accomplishments in journalism, creative vision, and lifetime achievement. CFDA Awards

The 2014 Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards were held on Monday, June 2, at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center in New York City. This event acknowledges excellence in fashion design and the outstanding contributions of individuals in the fashion industry and related arts. This event is considered the "Oscars" of the fashion industry. Rihanna, shown above, wore a sheer, sparkly gown by Adam Selman. The gown was designed with over 200,000 Swarovski crystals. She was presented with the CFDA Fashion Icon of the Year Award, for her impact on the fashion industry. Below are some of the fabulous red carpet fashion looks from the CFDA Awards.
