This is a follow up from my previous post on the passing of legendary designer Oscar de la Renta. The famed designer was known for his timeless elegance, sophistication, and breathtaking designs. He dressed hundreds of A-list celebrities throughout his 50 year career, such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Penelope Cruz, Jessica Alba, Oprah Winfrey, just to name a few. His designs from the red carpet always made the best dressed lists. The fashion world has truly lost one of the best designers of all time, and he will be sincerely missed. I've picked my top 12 favorite Oscar de la Renta red carpet looks below. There are SO many, and I could have picked more, but I narrowed it down to twelve. Hope you enjoy!

The fashion world mourns the loss of design legend Oscar de la Renta, who passed away Monday, at the age of 82. The Dominican-born designer will be remembered as one of the greatest fashion icons in history. He launced his first ready-to-wear label in 1965, in New York. The legendary designer received many fashion awards in his lifetime, including the Coty American Fashion Critics Award twice, Womenwear Fashion Designer of the Year by the CFDA, and also a CFDA Lifetime Achievement Award, just to name a few. De la Renta became a favorite designer of the First Ladies of the White House, beginning with Jaqueline Kennedy, and later for Betty Ford, Nancy Reagan, Laura Bush, Barbara Bush, and Hillary Clinton. He was known for for dressing Hollywood celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Alba, Taylor Swift, Eva Longoria, just to name a few. The fashion icon's most recent design was the gorgeous wedding gown for George Clooney's bride, Amal Alamuddin. The Oscar de la Renta empire is highly successful featuring ready to wear fashion, accessories, bridal wear, childrenswear, and a home line. Oscar de la Renta will always be remembered by his timeless elegance, sophistication, and romantic glamour, in all of his creations. The fashion world will certainly miss this incredibly talented designer and his brilliant creations. He was dearly loved and respected by his fellow designers, celebrities, and people throughout the world. "Mr. de la Renta was one of America's greatest designers and he was an inspiration to the entire industry.
